GYMNASTICS I

Learn fundamental exercises that improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Basic gymnastics skills including rolls, jumps, and balance training are taught through obstacle courses and equipment stations.

GYMNASTICS II

Develop strength, balance, and flexibility while enhancing coordination through basic tumbling, apparatus skills, obstacle courses, and engaging movement activities. Focus is on the accumulation of skills, the social skills necessary to work in a group, and the ability to string skills together, mentally and physically.

LITTLE ATHLETES

Gain strength, coordination, spatial awareness, opposition, and movement strategies to help in other sports and activities. This movement class is sure to be a hit!

Explore making food hands-on and start to learn about nutrition education. Chefs will be introduced to new ingredients and learn how to follow a recipe. Measure, stir, chop, pour, sift…bon appetite!

Ignite your child’s creativity with imaginative art activities! Collage, painting, and craft creation enrich understanding of color, form, shape, and texture. Develop concentration, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Don’t forget your smock!

Listen, speak, sing, and play in Spanish! A strong cultural emphasis grounds our early language lessons in the customs and traditions.

Tumbling, apparatus work, beam, uneven bars, and water activities all included. Swim abilities develop using kick boards, noodles, and more. Gymnastics with a splash of confidence!

Mix science and art together! Explore liquids, solids, and gases while you whisk, mix, and paint through the scientific method. Discover the concepts of matter by creating playdough and ice cream, perform experiments on Gummy Bears, and concoct paint using salt and blueberries.

Use basic skill movements to improve core support, strength, balance, and flexibility. Individualized work on the balance beam and bars will be included. Selfconfidence and discipline are incorporated as more challenging elements are added to the floor routine.

Jr. Chefs grow in confidence and knowledge as they create seasonal recipes and develop lifelong skills in the kitchen. Proper food handling, cooking and baking techniques, terminology, table setting, and more are taught!

SOLVING MYSTERIES

Spooky science, food experiments (we will be using M&M’s and Skittles) and a “Whodunnit?” mystery will all be a part of this science exploration. Join our CSI team and help us solve some mysteries!

WATERCOLOR ART

Students choose from over dozens of pictures that are ready to ink, color, and paint using a combination of watercolor pencils, pastels, and brush markers. Have fun while learning basic skills to further develop talent and creativity. Take home framed artwork!

Learn basic sewing skills; how to measure, read a pattern, cut out, and assemble the pieces properly along with the use of a sewing machine. Sess. III: Stuffed scottie dog and a reversible tote bag. Sess. IV: Cotton summer dress and a matching tote bag. Additional material fee.

JEWELRY MAKING

Love jewelry? Let’s make zipper cuffs, tassel necklaces, embroidery thread necklaces, clothespin charms, bead and wax thread bracelets, and more! Focus is on color theory along with fine motor skills.

Create a lap/twin sized quilt! Design, assemble assorted squares of fabric, sew, attach batting and backing, and dream! Learn basic pinning and sewing skills and use of the sewing machine. Additional material fee.

Sewing for you and your American Girl! Sess. III:
Matching cotton nightshirts and a doll sized appliquéd pillow. Sess. IV: Matching summer dresses from printed cotton. Additional material fee.

ROBOTICS

Sess. III/IV
Get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO’s. Build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure movement using a simple programming tool. Themes include Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer, and Adventure Stories.

SEW MUCH FUN: LEVEL II

Sess. III/IV
Learn new sewing skills along with the proper use of a sewing machine. Measure and select the correct garment pieces according to size; pin, cut, and wear them with pride! Must complete Level 1 course. Sess. III: Knit tunic top with ruffle bottom and infinity scarf. Sess. IV: Woven cotton summer top and knit shorts. Additional material fee.
