NEW! Y F.I.T.
Fitness Inspired by our Trainers
Jan. 9 – Mar. 4
“Y Trainers Workout Challenge”. Each workout will be designed by different trainers and their unique styles. A booklet of 16 featured workouts will guide you through the process to getting FIT! Each workout in Y F.I.T. must be completed by March 4. Next step…Vote on your favorite workout and receive a 30 min. Training session with that “mystery” Trainer. Includes T-Shirt upon completion of 16 workouts.

MELT your FULL BODY in 90 min
Sat, Feb 11 from 11am-12:30pm
at the Wyckoff Y Lake House
MELT helps address postural misalignments, opens up joint space, helps your body heal, decreases inflammation, reconnects and calms the nervous system, and rehydrates the connective tissue system for better balance, circulation, alignment, and grace in your everyday activities. RELEASE stress, REDUCE aches and pains, and RESTORE your body back to its ideal state of alignment, balance, and grace with this 90 minute therapeutic workshop using soft foam rollers and therapy balls. BRING A YOGA MAT!
Must be able to transition into different positions including up and down from floor. REGISTER ONLINE BY: FEB. 8, Space is Limited.

Mindfulness Meditation Workshop

Linger for Tea and connect with others from 11:30-12pm
Treat yourself to a morning of this simple practice. (Based on MBSR, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction – Jon Kabbat Zinn’s nationally recognized University of Massachusetts Medical Center’s Program) Combine Mindfulness Instruction along with Awareness, Breath, Simple Movement, and Guided Meditations. Mindfulness Meditation is a useful tool for anxiety, stress reduction, and overall health and well-being for all levels.

Better Balance Training

Improving your balance is a matter of practice.
Gain an understanding of which movements and stability strengthening exercises will affect your balance and help prevent falls. Family Fun Fitness Week
Feb. 20 – 24
Come join in some family fun by taking these fitness classes while the kids are off from school. Classes include: Family Spin, Yoga, and Zumba. FREE

7th Annual Spring Indoor Triathlon

Ages 13 & Up
The YMCA indoor triathlon is a challenge that appeals to everyone- from seasoned triathletes to first-timers. The 50 min. race against the clock breaks down as follows: 10 min. swim in the pool, 30 min. bike ride in the Spinning Room, and a 20 min. run on a treadmill. Member: $30 Non Member: $40

Colon Cancer Screening Awareness Day

Representatives from Valley Hospital, American Cancer Society, and the Wyckoff YMCA’s Live Well Cancer Survivor Program, share prevention information and resources on new colon cancer screening technologies. FREE

Spring Hikes with the “Y” at Ramapo Reservation
Apr. 23, May 21, & Jun. 11 at 9:45am
Come take a hike with the Y. Join the Fitness Staff once a month for a fun, yet challenging hike. Hikes are 90 min. in duration and of moderate difficulty. FREE

Sunset Yoga

Loosen, relax, and balance your mind and body in harmony with the setting sun at Spring Lake beach. Followed by wine and cheese at the Lake House.
