Foam Rolling with Joe Singleton CPT
Thu, Apr 27 from 10-11am
Foam Rolling is an everyday practice for people of all levels for injury prevention and increased flexibility. Rolling releases knots and trigger points in your muscles, to bring them back to full length and elasticity. This session will focus on muscles of the back and lower body. Register by April 20, Space is limited!

The Y’s Annual Campaign provides financial assistance to local families and individuals in need. This includes childcare, social programming, health and wellness, subsidized programs for seniors, teens, and special needs individuals.

Spring Hikes with the “Y” at Ramapo Reservation

Come take a hike with the Y. Join the Fitness Staff once a month for a fun, yet challenging hike. Hikes are 90 min. in duration and of moderate difficulty.
FREE, sign up in the Fitness Department.

Family Yoga

Family Yoga is a joyful and peaceful way to move together mindfully. Class begins with thoughtfully tuning in, followed by playful and meditative practices that include postures, partner poses, and group poses. Relaxation and guided imagery end the afternoon. MELT 90 min. Workshop
Sat. May 13 from 11:15am-12:45pm
MELT your FULL BODY in 90 min. MELT helps address postural misalignments, opens up joint space, helps your body heal, decreases inflammation, reconnects and calms the nervous system, and rehydrates the connective tissue system for better balance, circulation, alignment, and grace in your everyday activities. RELEASE stress, REDUCE aches and pains, and RESTORE your body back to its ideal state of alignment, balance, and grace with this 90 minute therapeutic workshop using soft foam rollers and therapy balls. Must be able to transition into different positions including up and down from floor. BRING A YOGA MAT! Space is Limited, REGISTER ONLINE BY: MAY 3

Self-Defense for Teens Workshop (Ages 13+)

This Workshop will cover the basics of self-defense, kicking, punching, blocking, reaction time, protecting your body, and learning to believe in yourself. The Curriculum is designed to improve your awareness, personal safety, and self-confidence. INSTRUCTED BY: Master Cathy Greene – Fourth Degree Black Belt and Tae Kwon Do Instructor.
