The Y Sports Program grows with your child. Progressive classes, leagues, and clinics, develop your child’s skills, confidence, and sportsmanship one step at a time. We coach with passion and work to the individual so that everyone can play at the Y successfully. No matter what sport you choose, or what level of play you are, there is a place for you at the Y.

Lace up the high-tops and learn basketball where it was invented…the YMCA! Individualized instruction helps to develop dribbling, passing, and shooting skills with an emphasis on team play.

Flag-Football-logo-RENEW! FLAG FOOTBALL

The Wyckoff YMCA Flag Football League is an NFL sponsored league and jerseys are supplied with official NFL team logos. Learn the fundamentals of throwing and catching, as well as running and maneuvering through a defense. Proper method for taking a hand-off and how to run basic pass routes are covered. While there is a competitive component to the structure of the league, we are committed first and foremost to the concepts of fair play and good sportsmanship while teaching children to love the game of football.

Little Ninjas – Focuses on building coordination and confidence. Basic martial arts techniques are introduced and belts are awarded to build self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. Strategies are discussed on how to effectively deal with bullying.

A 60 min. class offering traditional Tae Kwon Do training. With an emphasis on respect and discipline; adults learn self-defense, blocks, kicks, and punches.
