You may sign up for both AM and PM sessions in the same week, but all AM students must be picked up for a lunch break at 12noon and then returned after 12:45pm for 1pm session.

(for students entering Gr. 1-2; 3-5; *must have completed Kindergarten)
Students build a variety of hands-on electronics design challenges with littleBits, MakeyMakeys, Snap Circuits, and more. Students will learn the thrill of discovery as we spark their interest in STEM!
Robotics (for students entering Grades 3-5)
Inspire your child’s creativity and love of exploration with a fun-filled week of Robotics! Robotics is also a fantastic way to spark student interest in Science, Technology, and Engineering. Learn basic programming logic with Ozobot Bit and LEGO WeDo visual drag-and-drop software. Students learn structural design to make pulleys, levers, and sensors to build figures such as snapping alligators and spinning robots. Grow your student’s coding, robotics, and critical thinking skills by learning engineering basics through exploration and prototyping.
MIT App Inventor (for students entering Grades 3-5; 6-8)
Students use drag-and-drop coding blocks to create their own fully functional Smartphone apps!
STEM JR. & Coding Fun
(for students entering Grades 1-2; *Must have completed Kindergarten)
This is a perfect age to begin to learn coding and experience engaging STEM-related activities! Scratch, Jr. makes coding fun and accessible to even our youngest learners. Using the drag-and-drop coding platform developed by MIT Media Labs, students will bring their animated stories, sprites, and video game designs to life! Students will also participate in various STEM-related tasks such as electronics design problems and sensor robots challenges.
Create and View Your Own Virtual Reality (VR) World
(for students entering Grades 6-8)
If your child likes to build in Minecraft, he or she will love designing their own virtual reality worlds from scratch using CoSpaces. Students will then view their own creations using Virtual Reality goggles! Students will also experiment with Aurasma, the Augmented Reality (AR) app, to link video, audio, and amazingly realistic 3D imagery to everyday objects in their environment.
Game Design (for students entering Grades 3-5)
Students will use Bloxels, the hands-on game design platform, to build, collaborate, and tell stories through video game creation. We will unlock your child’s innate creativity by leveraging something he or she loves: video games. But it’s about more than playing video games. It’s about building a dynamic, interconnected world through storytelling. It’s about seeing ideas put into action, testing them, and making them better. It’s a blast!
Girl Power: Girls Only Tech Camp (for girls entering Grades 3-5; 6-8)
An exciting and empowering tech experience…for girls only! Girl Power at Smashtech is led by dynamic female tech role models. Smashtech is committed to inspiring girls to embrace technology by offering a creative and welcoming tech learning environment just for them. Girl Power is designed with choice in mind to give girls a wide variety of tech experiences, including coding, game design, 3D design, and electronics.
Video Production (for students entering Grades 3-5; 6-8)
Calling all aspiring YouTubers! Students learn the fundamentals of pre-production and composition, record video footage, and then use WeVideo to edit vlogs, reviews, or short films. Ready…Action!
