MINI MASTERS
Ages 8 – 12
Wed. 6-7pm BOYE POOL
Build endurance while improving stroke technique. A weekly swim workout that is ideal for young experienced swimmers who want to keep in “competitive swim” shape. Participants should be proficient in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke.

JR. MASTERS
Ages 13 – 17
Wed. 7-8pm BOYE POOL
Work with a coach weekly to stay in “competitive swim” shape. Drills designed to help swimmers improve stroke technique while building endurance. Participants should be proficient in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke.

X-FIT H2O
Ages 9 – 13
Thu. 6:30-7:30pm BOYE POOL
Reap the cardiovascular benefits of swimming while taking a proactive approach to injury prevention. Work with a Coach to get a “fitness center” strength training workout in the weightless environment of the water! Increase your stamina in the pool while targeting individual muscle groups (core, quads, triceps, deltoids, etc.).

WATER POLO HIGH SCHOOL COED INTRAMURALS

Looking for a game of water polo? Grab your friends and try our co-ed high school water polo program! Weekly pickup games led and officiated by our water polo coach.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Ages 15 & Up
Lifeguard course available for candidates interested in working at a pool. All participants must have strong swimming skills (able to swim freestyle & breaststroke).

BEGINNER GROUP
Ages 10 – 17
Skill Goals: Able to swim freestyle with side breathing and backstroke 25 yds., elementary backstroke, beginner dives, jumps independently into deep water and swims 15 yds.

INTERMEDIATE GROUP
Ages 10 – 17
Skill Goals: Swims freestyle 100 yds., swims backstroke 50 yds., swims breaststroke 25 yds., treads water, standing dive.

ADVANCED GROUP
Ages 13 – 17
Skill Goals: Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, flip turns, diving from the blocks.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS
Instructor designs a curriculum to help your Teen learn the swimming skills necessary for safety as well as enjoyment. Teens develop confidence while learning the different strokes in this one-on-one session.

FIRST STEPS TO FITNESS
Ages 7 – 10 Thu. 5:30-6:15pm
A group exercise program designed to get teens started on the right foot and create healthy lifelong habits with this engaging and educational introduction to everyday fitness.

TEEN SPINNING
Ages 11 – 14 Thu. 4-4:45pm
A great cardio instructor-led workout of simulated road bike riding to energizing music; appropriate for all fitness levels. Class size limited. Bring water and a towel. Teen must attend Spin Orientation.Height requirement: 4’11.

YOGA FOR KIDS
Ages 10 – 12 Mon. 4-4:45pm
Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Learn how to focus and center yourself with various breathing and visualization techniques. Practice challenging poses, partner and group poses, and learn basic anatomy through yoga games.

ZUMBA FOR KIDS
Ages 10 – 12 Tue. 3:45-4:30pm
Participants get the chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music.

FITNESS FOUNDATIONS
Ages 11 – 12
Sun. 1-2pm, Tue. 5-6pm
Set the foundation and learn proper form and technique on cardio and circuit equipment along with proper etiquette in the Fitness Center. A great and safe step before working out on your own.

WATERCOLOR ART
Gr. 6 – 8
Mon. 6:45-7:45pm Sess. III/IV
Students choose from dozens of pictures that are ready to ink, color, and paint using a combination of watercolor pencils, pastels, and brush markers. Have fun while learning basic skills to further develop talent and creativity. Take home framed artwork!

I’M SEW CREATIVE
Gr. 6 – 8
Wed. 6:30-7:30pm Sess. III/IV
Cover basic hand sewing and an introduction to the machine. Projects include neck pillow, denim tote bag with trim, buttons, appliqué, and a zipper.

BROADWAY BOUND
Gr. 4 – 8

Improve your singing, acting, and dancing technique to your favorite Broadway songs and scenes with a performance on the main stage at the Y in the Dance Showcase on June 10 & 11.

ALL ABOUT “THE BIZ”

Refine your audition book with the perfect songs. Polish your resume, experience master classes, and visits from industry professionals. Don’t miss this valuable introduction to “The Biz”.
