Y Arts in the Community is committed to creating a vibrant cultural center under the leadership of the Wyckoff Family YMCA. We serve families and our diverse community by making the visual and performing arts accessible, integrated, and meaningful. By providing a place to exhibit, perform, and share arts of all kinds, we aim to nourish lives and inspire people regardless of age, gender, race, or religion to develop in Spirit, Mind, and Body.

Art Shows: Next up in the Gallery

October Community Art Show
“Shape & Space”
Professional Artists Present Contemporary Works of Art
-Three Women, Three Visions, Three Artists

Artists’ reception Sun, October 22 in the gallery space from 2pm-4pm.
The public is invited to attend.

“Shape and Space,” a contemporary art show bringing together three professional artists with roots in both the community and art world will showcase oil, acrylic and mixed media paintings at Gallery 691 located in the Wyckoff Family YMCA October 11th through November 13th.

Artists Virginia S. Block, Susan Lisbin and Ellen Reinkraut – who’s works have been collected privately, by major corporations and won awards in various juried art shows – share their vision and artistry as part of the Wyckoff YMCA’s Y Arts in the Community initiative. The expressive works of art explore surface, what’s hidden, relation and connection. “My art invites multiple interpretations. I’m energized by both the subject and the painting process, and my goal is to promote well-being to the viewer through art,” says Reinkraut. Lisbin adds, “Personal space is about how we connect and relate to each other.”
