Y Arts in the Community draws people together offering Visual, Music, and Performing Arts through Gallery 691, Studio 691 School of Dance, Y Arts Music & Theatre Education, Y Arts Theatre Company, and Y Arts Youth Theatre.

Y Arts in the Community is committed to creating a vibrant cultural center under the leadership of the Wyckoff Family YMCA. We serve families and our diverse community by making the visual and performing arts accessible, integrated, and meaningful. By providing a place to exhibit, perform, and share arts of all kinds, we aim to nourish lives and inspire people regardless of age, gender, race, or religion to develop in Spirit, Mind, and Body.

Art Shows: Next up in the Gallery

Artist Submissions now being Accepted
“Four Legs and Canvas” Art Show at Gallery 691

Varied works are sought for the group Art Show in September, 2017 – titled “Four Legs and Canvas.” Experienced artists are encouraged to show paintings, photos, and other 2D mixed media works inspired by one’s relationship with animals, pets and the interdependence, joy and celebration of four-legged friends: furry, scaled, or feathered. Submit 2 examples of artwork (jpg.) or a link to your work to colleeng@wyckoffymca.org.

Details:
Exhibition Dates: September 6, 2017 –October 1, 2017
Artwork Delivery: Tuesday, September 5, 2017, 10:00am-12:00noon,
691 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
Artwork can only be delivered in-person; no shipments will be accepted.
Artwork Pickup: Monday, October 2, 2017 10:00am- 2:00pm,
Artwork Requirements: Only 2-dimensional, with framed measurements being at least 12” and no more than 48” on either side. All works (except those on stretched canvas) must be framed, with picture wire affixed on the back for hanging. Saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. On delivery day, please ensure you bring your artwork labeled, framed and prepared as required.

Submission Process:
All materials should be submitted before the deadline, by e-mail to colleeng@wyckoffymca.org with the subject: “Four Legs and Canvas.” Your e-mail should include:
•  1- 2 sample images (jpg) of your work. Please ensure images are sharp and true to color, not dull, blurry. Due to the public nature of the family environment, no graphic imagery will be considered.
•  Artwork title, medium, and size information for each artwork submitted
•  Artist name, contact phone number, and e-mail
Submission Deadline: August 1, 2017
Notification by: August 15, 2017
Upon Acceptance, Required Forms: Each exhibiting artist must complete and submit an Agreement Form, along with a $10 processing fee. A Form will be provided upon notification of acceptance and the fee will be applied at that time.
