Art Shows: Next up in the Gallery

June Art in the Community

Gallery 691 will be exhibiting the works of Barry Fredericks
from June 1st thru June 30th

Mr. Fredericks’ body of work is concerned with capturing a mood or expression and is not focused on replicating the visual image. Since the human face is most expressive many of his paintings use images of people to create the desired results. All works begins with a detailed charcoal drawing and color may be added, using oil, acrylic, watercolor or pastel, in whole or in part, to express the desired effect.

This art show follows the artists’ receiving the award for First Prize in a recent juried exhibition of “Emerging Artists in Northern New Jersey”. Barry Fredrick’s paintings were warmly received last year in a successful one man exhibit in New York, and since then his work has been shown in several local galleries in Northern New Jersey.
