Junior Leaders Club
Grades 6-8, Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm in the Community Room
This program is designed to give middle school students the chance to make new friends in a positive and safe environment. Learn the basics in team building and the importance of the four core values of the YMCA. Participate in community service projects and special events and trips. A Teen Extreme or Family Membership is required. $100 per year which includes a t-shirt, snacks and discounted trips.
Teen Leaders Group
Grades 9 - 12, 7:30 - 9:00pm in the Community Room
The Wyckoff YMCA is offering an opportunity for all teens in our
area to be a part of a fun and diverse group of individuals whose
focus is on the three Leaders Club values: spirit, mind, and body.
Teens will become a positive influence in their communities and
strive to develop the core values of the YMCA through service
projects, team building activities, as well as retreats and overnights.
A Teen Extreme or Family Membership is required.
$100 per year.
Billy's Buddies
Held the first Sunday of each month unless otherwise noted. Next service time is Sunday, March 7, May 2 and June 6. Help facilitate fun games and activities for young children with Down syndrome.
Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA - Saturday, March 27, 10am-1pm
This free day of activities is designed to promote healthy kids and families in spirit, mind, and body. This year's events will include a youth biathlon, large obstacle course, and carnival-style activities as well as fun fitness games.
Teen volunteers are needed all day. Call Tim or Danielle to book a shift to work!
Parents' Night Out - Friday, April 9, 5-8pm
Develop and implement activities and help with the Special Olympics for the children of Billy's Buddies while their parents enjoy a night out.
Spring Teen Rally at State College YMCA - May 21-23 in State College, PA
All Teen Leaders are encouraged to attend this exciting weekend. We will be traveling to State College YMCA for a weekend of team building and getting to know other teen leaders from various YMCAs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta - Thursday, May 6
Held during both teen meetings
This is a $5 fiesta for all teen leaders during their meetings! Come enjoy some authentic Mexican food, music and games.
No membership required! Bring friends and have some fun! Cost and age guidelines vary by event.
Spring Hiking at Ramapo Reservation
Grades 6-8, Date and time to be announced
Let's get outside and get some fresh air! Teens will be bused from the Y to Ramapo Reservation, where we will enjoy some good old outdoor fun! Bring your cameras and pack a lunch...we're all ready for a good time. Don't forget to wear sneakers or hiking boots!
Video Game and Chill Night
Grades 9-12, Friday, March 19 6:30-9:30pm
Put on your game face and get ready to take on the best of the best in this action-packed night! With two gaming consoles, great big TVs and hyped up players, this is an evening you will NOT want to miss! $15 includes food and drinks.
Game Day
Grades 6-8, Saturday, April 10, 11am-2pm
This is a day jam-packed with some crazy sports and games such as floor hockey, basketball, capture the flag and much more! Come on out with your sweatband, your socks pulled high and sneaks laced up and be ready to sweat! $10 per teen, includes lunch.
