Wyckoff Family YMCA

Welcome To The Wyckoff Family YMCA

A Message from the Director:

As we begin 2018, it is with great pride that we announce the Wyckoff Family YMCA’s 75th Anniversary. When we reflect upon our many years of human service to the community, we can’t help but celebrate the “Mission Milestones” that embody our rich heritage and seasons of giving.

From our modest beginnings at Spring Lake Park, our 7,000-square foot small facility, we were so proud to offer a safe home for families to not only spend their days but also the summers to enjoy some old fashioned outdoor fun. Thirty years ago, no full day childcare was available. In growing with the needs of the community, we developed our comprehensive childcare program to help working families. Through determination, we built four Childcare Centers where hundreds of children are served and cared for each day.

Staying in step with the times and never being afraid to try something new, we became a catalyst for change. With your help, the Y has grown into a 100,000-square foot Community Center that is second to none with two gyms, two 25 yard pools, a State-of-the-Art Performing Arts Center, and Lakehouse. The Y truly offers an outlet for everyone.

The Y keeps the community on track and addresses their health and well-being. Our goal is always to be a resource to individuals and their personal journey. We are keeping the community fit through a myriad of classes, triathlons, and recently launching our new Wellness Center and Cycle Studio.

Our growth has been built upon the solid relationships with the people we have served through the years; including them, their children, and their children’s children. These roots are deep and our reach has no borders. The Rose Fernandez Commons was created as a dedicated space to advocate and give a place for our Active Older Adults. In addition, we broke ground two years ago with a sister site, The Franklin Lakes Community Center.

It is no wonder that the Y has grown to what it is today. Our volunteer based organization is all about giving back. We continue to strive to reach others through our Wyckoff Y Cares Initiative which provides help to those families facing crisis. Through our programs, we are committed to offering endless avenues for individuals to further their skill sets.

Here is to the next 75 Years – It is our promise that we will forever be evolving and meeting the needs of you and your family.

With my very best wishes for a healthy and happy 2018,
Joy Vottero
