THE "NOTE"-WORTHY NEWSLETTER - APRIL
2026 ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
The Annual Campaign, held each year in the first quarter, is the Y’s general appeal to the Community-At-Large. Primarily to support our philanthropic work, your financial support assists the Y in responding to the ongoing requests for help we receive daily. Your Membership Dues and Program Fees go toward covering the Y’s operating expenses, but your donations for the Campaign go toward helping your neighbors stay healthy and well. Connected by a shared vision, Staff at all levels work with one another to engage committed Volunteers, YMCA Members, and Donors to make a lasting impact on the communities served by our Y.

Greetings from the bustling Performing Arts Office!
March comes in like a lion…and out like an…elephant!? If you were at Woodside School, you saw elephants, monkeys and more performing on stage in “Jungle Book Kids.” If you were at FAMS you saw teapots, clocks, and candles galore at “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” But, wait! There’s more! The Performing Arts Dept. prepares for “This Land Was Made for You And Me” - a performance by our TK & Pre-K Classes in early April, and “Finding Nemo Kids” - a performance by our Y Arts Kids in June. Just in time for spring, we have tended to our students like a beautiful garden: planting little seeds of dance, music, and theatre that we water to grow into blooms of confidence, discipline, commitment, teamwork, and self-esteem, all to showcase the fruits of our labor and love and their extremely hard work!
With Gratitude,
Laura and the Music & Theatre Team

Singer Spotlight: FAMS Drama Club
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” at Franklin Avenue Middle School in Franklin Lakes. In our 10th Anniversary Performance, this “tale as old as time” lit up the FAMS stage and was complete with a multi-level stage, elaborate costumes, and the nostalgic tunes that leave you singing for days on end. We couldn’t be prouder to be the choice organization delivering the arts in the Franklin Lakes school district. It is a feat unmatched by any other organization, and brings much joy and culture to the community. We look forward to many more decades of partnership!
Woodside Avenue School Drama Club!
Shout out to Woodside Avenue School Drama Club! Rounding out the Spring Musical Season, our final Y Arts on Location performance of the year culminates at WAS with “Jungle Book Kids.” Grades 3-5 performed with vigor as they teleported from their school’s stage to the jungle. Every elephant, monkey, snake, and grizzly bear shined! Many performers made their stage debut, and we love introducing the arts to those who will keep this experience in their minds and hearts for many years to come.
