Singer Spotlight: Drama Club
Congratulations to the twelve 5th Grade Drama Club students at High Mountain Road Elementary School! These original Drama Club members have been loyal participants since the Y began its On Location debut at this Franklin Lakes School 3 years ago, and they took their final bow on their stage at HMR Jan. 9 & 10 in “Jungle Book Kids.” The Wyckoff YMCA has become the central hub for all things performing arts in Franklin Lakes, and it’s great to know that these budding stars can continue their arts education at FAMS when they join Drama Club at the Middle School next year! The best is yet to come!
"Annie Kids" - Crescent Elementary School in Waldwick
Crescent Elementary School in Waldwick was in the spotlight Jan. 16 and 17 when “Annie Kids” lit up their stage. The newest addition to the Y Arts On Location roster, this Waldwick Elementary School now has arts education in the capable hands of the Y’s performing arts team, and it’s safe to say the (19) 3rd thru 5th graders in “Annie Kids” have been bitten by the theatre bug! Bravo to the brave participants - many of whom performed on stage for the first time! The Y looks forward to nurturing the arts with this new partnership for many years to come!
