THE "NOTE"-WORTHY NEWSLETTER - MAY

2026 ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

The Annual Campaign, held each year in the first quarter, is the Y’s general appeal to the Community-At-Large. Primarily to support our philanthropic work, your financial support assists the Y in responding to the ongoing requests for help we receive daily. Your Membership Dues and Program Fees go toward covering the Y’s operating expenses, but your donations for the Campaign go toward helping your neighbors stay healthy and well. Connected by a shared vision, Staff at all levels work with one another to engage committed Volunteers, YMCA Members, and Donors to make a lasting impact on the communities served by our Y.

Greetings from the bustling Performing Arts Office!

This month we ease into the final quarter of the school year.  It’s incredible to look back and think of the hundreds of children, (ages 3 and up!) who have had some kind of performance, concert, or show on stage.  We truly feel privileged to be part of these everlasting memories!  We now prepare for graduation ceremonies, and a fun-filled summer that will create more lasting moments for us all.  Time keeps on ticking, as we march to the beat of a special, busy, and uplifting drum!

With Gratitude,

Laura and the Music & Theatre Team

Singer Spotlight: Pre-K & TK Classes

Our Pre-K & TK Classes! In a presentation titled “This Land Was Made For You and Me!” the YMCA childcare children paid homage to Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.  Over 90 children took the Y’s stage to sing and act in an original piece written and directed by the Y’s performing arts team.  We couldn’t be prouder of our soon-to-be graduates performing on stage like little professionals!

StevieMac Concert

Back by popular demand, the Y welcomed StevieMac: A Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks Experience.  In a sold-out show in the Ron Zier Family Theater, front-woman Diane Lutz wowed our audience with stand-out vocals, backed by a superb band.  With authentic period costumes, and dynamic storytelling, we sang along to beloved classics like “Stand Back”, “Dreams”, “Rhiannon”, “Stop Dragging My Heart Around”, “Gold Dust Woman” and more!
