Classes are Monday – Friday from 4-5pm.
This is a great opportunity to experience all the Y has to offer. Whether you want to try something new or refine skills, these specialty classes are ones not to miss. Space is limited.
After Camp Clubs have an intense focus on the specialty and give the Child an experience like no other.
- Campers will be transported to the After Camp Club by a Camp Counselor.
- Parent/Guardian will pick up the Child from the Club Location.
- Camper will not be allowed to join the After Care Program at the conclusion of the class.

Club Descriptions:
Art:
Using a variety of different mediums, explore the process of creation, design, and expression. Paint, glue, color, and craft up works of art, with a focus on the history of different artists from around the world. Take home your masterpieces to share and display!
Ballet:
Introductory development of the concepts of ballet including proper turn out, coordination, and spatial awareness with a specific focus on class protocols, behavior, and vocabulary.
Baseball:
Techniques on how to throw, catch, and hit a ball off a batting tee are taught. Game situations and strategies are implemented with more advanced base running, hitting, and fielding. The goal of each class is to conclude with a friendly team game to emphasize the skills taught on that day, while improving self-confidence.
Basketball:
The fundamentals of basketball are covered through techniques used to train advanced motor skills, dynamic dribbling, shooting skills, and fitness. Players are put into game situations working on both offensive and defensive strategies.
Cooking:
Master essential cooking and baking techniques, from preparing basic meals to executing intricate desserts. Students learn key skills like knife handling, ingredient preparation, baking fundamentals, and cooking methods. Perfect for future chefs, this class provides hands-on experience and practical tips to build confidence in the kitchen and create delicious dishes and treats.
Flag Football:
Learn catching, throwing, flag pulling, as well as offensive and defensive fundamentals. The curriculum is designed around player development and teaches proper technique in a safe and high energy environment.
Golf:
The perfect introduction to golf or an opportunity to enhance your skill set. Players learn the proper way to hold different clubs, proper putting stances, and complete a full swing. Athletes play a variety of games to work on their golf course acumen.
Improv:
Performers learn how to think on their feet, express their ideas with confidence, and build scenes together, no scripts needed. Perfect for building confidence, communication skills, and friendships, all while having a blast on stage!
Jazz:
Introduction of technique, coordination, and flexibility in a fun and energetic setting. Dance to upbeat music while perfecting body positions and terminology.
Lacrosse:
Improve hand-eye coordination to be able to catch and throw the ball. Focus on developing a comfortable 1 and 2 handed cradle while running with the ball. Basic intro to speed and agility. Fun, non-contact lacrosse games improve the skill focus for that day!
Modern:
Explore movement and understand body alignment technique in this expressive dance style. Stretch, strength, and graceful body movement are incorporated.
Pickleball:
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Focus on developing basic skills and implementing them into game situations. Skills such as ball control, forehand and backhand drive, drive and lob serve, forehand and back hand lob, smash, and strategy are taught. Juniors are introduced to rules, scoring, and fitness including flexibility and muscular strength.
Scene Study:
Dive into short scenes and plays to explore character, dialogue, and storytelling. Through fun acting exercises and rehearsals, learn how to bring scripts to life; using voice, movement, and imagination.
Science:
Take your knowledge to the next level! Learn how to hypothesize, experiment, and solve unique problems in the scientific world. From Earth Science to Chemistry, turn your curiosity into discovery through hands-on experiments and creative exploration.
Soccer:
The Soccer mission is to help shape your Child’s experience and develop a true passion for physical activity and team sports while building a foundation for lifetime involvement in the most popular sport in the world…soccer! Players train once a week in a group setting that provides the key to soccer development including dynamic dribbling, shooting skills, and 1v1’s.
Sports Fanatics:
A perfect class for Children who are in search of their favorite sport! Learn basic skills needed to play baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. Players are introduced to the basic skills used for gameplay.
Tap:
Great for developing gross motor skills, rhythm, and coordination. Tap class consists of warm-up exercises, across the floor combinations, and rhythmic phrases.
Tennis:
Participate in peer throwing, catching, and hitting rallies. Develop hand-eye coordination, footwork, and basic tennis strokes through a variety of hitting and catching activities.
Tennis Baseball:
Take your hits to the next level! Once you swap out the Bat and Baseball for a Tennis Racquet and Tennis Ball the game becomes fast and exciting! Tennis Baseball is the same game just with a few equipment changes. The bases are further apart to accommodate the deep shots that Tennis Baseball brings. This class is sure be a hit!
Theatre:
In this lively and creative class, Children explore the magic of theatre through acting games, storytelling, and imaginative play, all while having tons of fun performing with friends.
Volleyball:
Volleyball utilizes a variety of active games and tools to teach basic volleyball techniques including passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking, tipping, and diving. Footwork and technique are emphasized.
