BASEBALL / SOFTBALL
Focus on the fundamentals of baseball including the basic mechanics of throwing, fielding, catching, and hitting. This camp is taught by some of the best Coaches and Players in the area. It is a challenging, yet rewarding experience - BATTER UP! Campers are transported via YMCA School Bus to Wyckoff Community Park for activity time (9:15am-12:15pm).
Please note - guardians are not allowed to drop off or pick up at Community Park. Permission slip required. Additionally, all Specialty Camps receive a lunch period under the Sports Tent on the YMCA Campus, Instructional Swim Period, and Free Swim Period at the Lake. Equipment is provided, but if you would like to bring your own glove, bat, and helmet you can do so.
FLOOR HOCKEY
Suit up like an NHL Player and learn basic fundamentals in stick handling, passing, shooting, ball movement, and team play. Be fast on your feet and ready to score in this action-packed camp. Campers are transported via YMCA School Bus to Wyckoff Memorial Field Facility Hockey Rink for activity time (9:15am-12:15pm).
Please note - guardians are not allowed to drop off or pick up at Memorial Field Facility. Permission slip required. Additionally, all Specialty Camps receive a lunch period under the Sports Tent on the YMCA Campus, Instructional Swim Period, and Free Swim Period at the Lake. Equipment is provided, but if you would like to bring your own helmet and hockey stick you can do so.
READING ACCELERATORS
Readers embark on a journey through story telling, with a focus on literacy and understanding. Build on comprehension, practice reading aloud, and take your favorite stories to the next level through crafts and games. Each camper receives an age appropriate chapter book to take home and enjoy. Additionally, campers get to visit the Wyckoff Library to receive their own library card and discover what our community has to offer. Campers nurture their love of reading to become confident and ready to jump into the new school year!
Activity Time for Reading Accelerators will be held outdoors under the Programs Tent and covers approximately 3 hours of the day. Additionally, all Specialty Camps receive a lunch period under the Programs Tent on the YMCA Campus, Instructional Swim Period, and Free Swim Period at the Lake. Campers are transported via YMCA School Bus to the Wyckoff Library one day during the week. Permission slip required.
RUGGED RANGERS
For kids who love adventure…a rugged but exciting camp experience. Learn basic survival skills such as pitching a tent, first aid, staying healthy and active, and more! Take a trip to the local hiking trails to discover native plants and trees, while learning about the environment, insects, and animals. Expand your appreciation for nature!
Activity Time for Rugged Rangers Camp will be held outdoors under the Programs Tent and covers approximately 3 hours of the day. Additionally, all Specialty Camps receive a lunch period under the Programs Tent on the YMCA Campus, Instructional Swim Period, and Free Swim Period at the Lake. Two days during the week, Campers are transported via YMCA School Bus to local parks for activity time. Please note - guardians are not allowed to drop off or pick up at the local parks. Permission slip required.
NEW! TEEN ADVENTURE CLUB
Adventure meets growth in this dynamic camp designed for teens! Campers will build essential life skills, all while forming lasting friendships. Through team activities, leadership challenges, and exciting day trips, teens will gain confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure that will carry them beyond the summer.
Activity Time for Teen Adventure Club will be held outdoors under the Programs Tent and covers approximately 3 hours of the day. Additionally, all Specialty Camps receive a lunch period under the Programs Tent on the YMCA Campus, Instructional Swim Period, and Free Swim Period at the Lake. Campers get the opportunity to go on two trips per week. Permission slip required.

TENNIS CAMP
Designed to introduce young athletes to tennis in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Build skills such as eye-hand coordination, balance, and holding the racquet correctly. Focus on parts of the court, introduction to different strokes, proper swing technique, footwork, and a variety of captivating games! Campers are transported via YMCA School Bus to Wyckoff Memorial Field Facility Tennis Courts for activity time (9:15am-12:15pm).
