What are the fees involved?

All participants pay a registration fee:

Full Member: $275 / Program Member: $325  / Non-Member: $375

If your family is interested in participating, but is concerned about the financial commitment, please visit the Y’s website for a scholarship application. The Y is a charitable organization who will never turn anyone away for inability to pay. The Theatre Company provides most of the costumes for productions. Participants may be asked to provide personal costume items, accessories and appropriate shoes.

What is the rehearsal commitment?

Rehearsals begin February 5 and take place Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Cast members must be available for all rehearsals, performances, and any scheduled public events. Attendance is a must. Your initial commitment is to provide the highest quality performance, and all other conflicts and commitments must be known in advance.

Will I have to be at every rehearsal?

The Y Arts Team makes a concerted effort to build a comprehensive schedule that is distributed 2 weeks in advance. Though performers may not be needed at every rehearsal, we ask that Wednesday and Thursday evenings are blocked out so that all characters may be called on those particular days.

How much are tickets? Do cast members receive complimentary tickets?

Ticket prices vary depending on the section of seating and range from $20-$25. Cast members do not receive complimentary tickets.

How long is the performance?

The running time of Rudolph the Bye Bye Birdie is approximately 1 hour with no intermission.
