Shining Star 21+ is our Special Needs Day Program for individuals 21 and older with varying abilities.
It is a hands-on program that focuses on social skills, educational opportunities, and personal development while integrating the participants into the local community.
Mon. – Fri.: 9am-3pm ($90 per day)
Application process required.
Location: Advent Lutheran Church, 2 Day Minimum

Special Olympics Basketball
Special Olympics Basketball is one of the top sports at Special Olympics.
Players take it up at all ages and at all abilities, from young players learning to handle the ball and keep it under control while dribbling to older, more experienced players who have the moves and know the strategies to play challenging ball.
Skills Assessment for the newly established "Wyckoff YMCA Revolution"
Special Olympics Basketball Team:
- Assessing the players basketball ability on shooting, dribbling, passing, and overall skills.
What to Expect:
- Practices every Thursday at the Y from 5-5:45pm beginning in November
- Max of 10 Athletes make the team; the remaining can choose to practice to enrich and improve upon their basketball skills
- Athletes are chosen based on similar basketball skillsets
- The Season begins mid-January and runs to March
- Games are played every Sunday morning
