Kid Central Schedules

Welcome Family & Friends to Kid Central!

Kid Central nurtures child development by providing a safe and supervised place to play, make new friends, develop social skills, and build self-reliance while parents make time for their own development. Please remember to purchase your Kid Central Care Card at the Front Desk.

Full Member: $1 per child, per 2 hr. max. visit

GEC Member: $2 per child, per 2 hr. max. visit

GEC Member must be participating in a GEC Class and/or a Children’s Program Class.

Program Member: $2 per child

Parents must be participating in a Child’s Program Class. Additional siblings may utilize Kid Central during this time.

Location: Wyckoff Family YMCA

Age 3 mos. - Gr. Kindergarten Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 8am–2pm, 4-7pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 8am – 1pm

Gr. 1-5 Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 4-7pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 8am – 1pm

Location: Franklin Lakes Community Center

Age 3 mos. - Gr. 5 Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 8am–11am

Safety First:

  • Signing In and Out should be a parent who is listed on the Child's Family Membership.
  • The parent signing in, should be the same parent signing out.
  • The Parents will wear a wristband with their child's name on it and the location will be in the sign in book
  • Parents should remain at the entry gate.
  • Labeled drinks including milk, juice, water, and bottles are welcome (no food please).
  • If a child is not feeling well, he/she should be symptom free for 24 hours before returning.
  • A doctor's note may be requested upon return after a sickness.
  • Child Watch is not a licensed Day Care Facility and therefore cannot change diapers. Parents will be contacted to change their child's diaper.

Engaging Play:

  • Each child's stay will be filled with toys, books, and activities.
  • Personal belongings and electronics should stay home.
  • Pacifiers and car seats are encouraged for infants.
  • If a child is having a hard time acclimating and crying for 15 minutes, the parent will be contacted to help console their child. Parents are encouraged to try and get back to their workout. If the child remains upset, we will connect with the parent and look forward to their next visit.
